Meet the Owners

A family-owned and operated business by Tim and Michell, who have been married for over 30 years. They have raised their 2 daughters in the High Springs area and now enjoy their two grandchildren. Tim was raised in a small town in Indiana, and Michell in Florida. After a tour in the Army, Tim moved to Gainesville and started a 30-year career in the automotive, recreational/boating industry. With a passion for fishing and the outdoors, we decided to start our own business doing something we enjoy - Tailwinds Boats.

Whether fishing, scalloping or just spending some quality time on the river, we know that making memories is a big part of owning a boat. We pride ourselves in doing things right the first time and offering excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere to our customers.

From sales to service, at Tailwinds Boats, we can meet all of your boating needs, from new Excel boats and Avalon Pontoons as well as used boats. We also offer consignment services.
